There are no known synagogues, Midrashes or any trace of Jewish settlements in Kagiithane neighborhood. There are no known cemeteries either. The only proof of Jewish settlement in this neighborhood are some gravestones found in the gardens of houses. Most probably those houses belonged to Jewish families before the conquest of Istanbul. As there were no communities nearby, they would burry their dead in the gardens of their own homes.
